Meet The Team

Alexandra Hubley
Background
-
Fourth year Criminology with field placement student with a minor in Greek and Roman studies.
-
I have been a part of the uOttawa Equestrian team, and volunteered as part of the team executive for three consecutive seasons. I have seen first hand how the culture at the university impacts the culture and attitudes of the teams and student athletes.
-
Admitted to the Master of Arts in Criminology program at uOttawa for the fall of 2019, and strongly considering returning to uOttawa despite having received very attractive offers elsewhere. My decision to continue attending uOttawa would be in large part due to my involvement and personal investment in the uOttawa Equestrian team, however the university’s continued lack of support for club teams and student athletes is disconcerting. However, I have a vested interest in seeing this change for future students and myself and am positive that change is possible.
